DESCRIPTION:
Wade Alcorn has reported a vulnerability in Asterisk, which can be
exploited by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is cause due to an error in the processing of
commands in the Manager Interface. This can be exploited to execute
arbitrary code by supplying a specially crafted command string.
Successful exploitation requires that the Manager interface has been
enabled (disabled by default), the directive "write = command" has
been added to manager.conf, and the user has been authenticated.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.0.7. Prior versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 1.0.8.
