DESCRIPTION:
Lostmon has reported a vulnerability in Quick.Forum, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion attacks.
Input passed to the topic field in "forum/?p=newTopic" isn't properly
sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to inject arbitrary
HTML and script code, which will get executed in a user's browser
session in context of an affected site when the malicious user data
is viewed.
It is also possible to disclose some system information in the "db"
directory (e.g. list of all users).
The vulnerability has been reported in version 2.1.6. Other versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
