DESCRIPTION:
Lostmon and icaro have reported some vulnerabilities in
CodeThatShoppingCart, which can be exploited by malicious people to
conduct cross-site scripting and SQL injection attacks, and disclose
sensitive information.
1) Input passed to the "id" parameter in "catalog.php" isn't properly
sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to
execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in
context of a vulnerable site.
2) Input passed to the "id" parameter in "catalog.php" isn't properly
sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to
manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
3) The problem is that user credentials are stored in the file
"config.ini" inside the web root and may be exposed.
The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 1.3.1. Other
versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised and
restrict access to "config.ini".
