CRITICAL:

WHERE:

SOFTWARE:
RadBids Gold

DESCRIPTION:
Diabolic Crab has reported some vulnerabilities in RadBids Gold,
which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site
scripting and SQL injection attacks, and potentially disclose
sensitive information.

1) Some input isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the
user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code
in a user's browser session in context of a vulnerable site.

Examples:
faq.php?farea=[code]
index.php?a=listings&mode=1&order=name&cat=[code]
index.php?a=listings&mode=1&order=[code]&cat=
index.php?a=myareas&area=[code]

2) Input passed to the "mode" parameter in "index.php" isn't properly
sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to
manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

3) Input passed to the "read" parameter in "index.php" isn't properly
verified before being used to read files. This may be exploited to
disclose the content of arbitrary files via directory traversal
attacks.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 2. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised and
verified.
