DESCRIPTION:
Kozan has discovered a security issue in Chat Anywhere, which can be
exploited by malicious, local users to gain knowledge of sensitive
information.

The administrative credentials used for managing chat rooms are saved
in plain text in the ".ini" files in the "room" directory, which are
readable by all users.

Also, the ".pwd" files in the "password" directory, which are
readable by all users, contain the usernames and passwords in plain
text for users with access to password restricted chat rooms.

The security issues have been confirmed in version 2.72a. Other
versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Grant only trusted users access to affected systems.
