DESCRIPTION:
Two vulnerabilities have been reported in IBM WebSphere MQ, which can
be exploited by malicious users to bypass certain security
restrictions and by malicious people to conduct cross-site request
forgery attacks.
1) The application allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP
requests without performing any validity checks to verify the
requests. This can be exploited to e.g. edit a users userspace or
change permissions on file spaces if a logged-in user visits a
malicious web site.
This vulnerability is reported in File Transfer Edition version 7.0.3
and 7.0.4 and Managed File Transfer version 7.5.0. Other versions may
also be affected.
2) An error due to the application not validating access rights can
be exploited to download other users files.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires knowledge of
the files URL.
This vulnerability is reported in File Transfer Edition version 7.0.3
and 7.0.4. Other versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Apply APARs IC82761 and IC85516.
