DESCRIPTION:
Chris Kellum has discovered two vulnerabilities in the MoodThingy
Mood Rating Widget plugin for WordPress, which can be exploited by
malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.
Input passed via the "moodthingyvote" and "postID" parameters to
wp-admin/admin-ajax.php (when "action" is set to "cast_vote") is not
properly sanitised in the "lydl_store_results()" function in
wp-content/plugins/moodthingy-mood-rating-widget/moodthingy.php
before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate
SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 0.9. Other versions may
also be affected.
