DESCRIPTION:
SecPod Research Team has discovered two vulnerabilities in
NetDecision, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose
potentially sensitive information and potentially compromise a
vulnerable system.
1) A boundary error in the HTTP server when handling web requests can
be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via an overly-long
URL.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow execution of
arbitrary code, but requires the web server to be enabled (disabled
by default).
2) An error in the Traffic Grapher server when processing web
requests can be exploited to disclose the source code of NetDecision
script files (".nd") via a specially crafted GET header.
NOTE: Additionally, a weakness exists in the Dashboard server when
handling web requests for non-existent resources, which may disclose
the absolute path of the web directory.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 4.5.1. Other versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 4.6.1.
