DESCRIPTION:
Qixu Liu has discovered a vulnerability in KnFTP, which can be
exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when processing
FTP commands and can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer
overflow via an overly long string passed e.g. via the FTP "PASS"
command.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.0.0. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Restrict access to trusted hosts only.
PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
