DESCRIPTION:
Dan Luedtke has reported a security issue in Dienstplan, which can be
exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security
restrictions.
The security issue is caused due to the password generation algorithm
generating predictable passwords, which can be exploited to guess a
generated password when e.g. a password reset for a user is
triggered.
Successful exploitation requires a user name to be known, but can be
exploited in conjunction with user name enumeration through the
"reset password" functionality.
The security issue is reported in version 2.2. Prior versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 2.3.
