DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft .NET Framework, which
can be exploited by malicious people to gain knowledge of sensitive
information.
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the ASP.NET Chart
controls when encountering special characters within a URI. This can
be exploited to read the contents of arbitrary files (e.g.
web.config) in the web site directory or subdirectories via a
specially crafted GET request to a server hosting the Chart
controls.
Successful exploitation requires a web application using Microsoft
Chart Control (not installed by default).
SOLUTION:
Apply patches.
