DESCRIPTION:
Luigi Auriemma has discovered a vulnerability in Sybase Advantage
Database Server, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause
a DoS (Denial of Service) or potentially compromise a vulnerable
system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in ads.exe when
processing certain requests and can be exploited to corrupt memory
via a specially crafted packet sent to UDP port 6262.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 10.10.0.6. Other versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Restrict access to trusted hosts only.
