DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Windows, which can be
exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.
The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error in the
Ancillary Function Driver (afd.sys) when passing data from user mode
to the kernel. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary code in
kernel mode via a specially crafted application.
NOTE: According to Microsoft, the vulnerability is currently being
actively exploited.
