DESCRIPTION:
A security issue has been reported in the libwww-perl module for
Perl, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct spoofing
attacks.
The security issue is caused due the module not properly verifying
the "Common Name" field of an SSL certificate against the hostname of
the server when the "If-SSL-Cert-Subject" header is not set. This can
be exploited to e.g. conduct Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attacks.
SOLUTION:
Upgrade to version 6.00 or later.
