DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in BMC Dashboards for BSM,
which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site
scripting and spoofing attacks and disclose sensitive information.
1) Input passed via the URL to bmc_help2u/help_services/html is not
properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site.
2) Input passed via the "msg" parameter to
bmc_help2u/servlet/helpServlet2u is not properly sanitised before
being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute
arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context
of an affected site.
3) Certain input passed to bsmdashboards/messagebroker/amfsecure is
not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site.
4) The application bundles a vulnerable version of Adobe BlazeDS.
For more information:
SA38543
5) Input passed via the "URL" parameter to
bmc_help2u/help_services/html/index.htm is not properly verified
before being linked into the frameset, which can be used to conduct
spoofing or phishing attacks.
NOTE: A weakness, which could lead to disclosure of files from the
web root has also been reported.
The vulnerabilities are reported in version 7.6.01. Other versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
