DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in syslog-ng, which can be
exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error when handling certain
regular expressions in combination with the "global" flag, which can
be exploited to trigger an infinite loop and cause high CPU and
memory consumption.

Note: This may only be a problem when using certain PCRE versions
(e.g. version 8.12).

SOLUTION:
Update to version 3.2.4.
