DESCRIPTION:
Zerial has reported two vulnerabilities in FiberHome HG-110 Router,
which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site
scripting attacks and disclose sensitive information.
1) Input passed to the "getpage" parameter in cgi-bin/webproc (when
"var:menu" is set to "advanced" and "var:page" is set to "dns") is
not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site.
2) Input passed to the "getpage" parameter in cgi-bin/webproc (when
"var:menu" is set to "advanced" and "var:page" is set to "dns") is
not properly verified before being used to display files. This can be
exploited to disclose the contents of arbitrary files via directory
traversal attacks.
The vulnerabilities are reported in firmware version 1.0.0 (software
version HG110_BH_V1.6). Other versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Filter malicious characters and character sequences in a proxy.
