WiFi Mouse 1.8.3.4 Remote Code Execution
Posted Sep 26, 2022
Authored by h00die, H4rk3nz0, RedHatAugust | Site metasploit.com

The WiFi Mouse (Mouse Server) from Necta LLC contains an authentication bypass as the authentication is completely implemented entirely on the client side. By utilizing this vulnerability, is possible to open a program on the server (cmd.exe in our case) and type commands that will be executed as the user running WiFi Mouse (Mouse Server), resulting in remote code execution. Tested against versions 1.8.3.4 (current as of module writing) and 1.8.2.3.

Red Hat Security Advisory 2012-1165-01 - JBoss Enterprise BRMS Platform is a business rules management system for the management, storage, creation, modification, and deployment of JBoss Rules. This roll up patch serves as a cumulative upgrade for JBoss Enterprise BRMS Platform 5.3.0. It includes various bug fixes. The following security issue is also fixed with this release: It was found that the JMX Console did not protect against Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks. If a remote attacker could trick a user, who was logged into the JMX Console, into visiting a specially-crafted URL, the attacker could perform operations on MBeans, which may lead to arbitrary code execution in the context of the JBoss server process.

Oracle AutoVue ActiveX Control SetMarkupMode Buffer Overflow
Posted Aug 7, 2012
Authored by juan vazquez, Brian Gorenc | Site metasploit.com

This Metasploit module exploits a vulnerability found in the AutoVue.ocx ActiveX control. The vulnerability, due to the insecure usage of an strcpy like function in the SetMarkupMode method, when handling a specially crafted sMarkup argument, allows to trigger a stack based buffer overflow which leads to code execution under the context of the user visiting a malicious web page. The module has been successfully tested against Oracle AutoVue Desktop Version 20.0.0 (AutoVue.ocx 20.0.0.7330) on IE 6, 7, 8 and 9 (Java 6 needed to DEP and ASLR bypass).

Openfire Admin Console Authentication Bypass

This Metasploit module exploits an authentication bypass vulnerability in the administration console of Openfire servers. By using this vulnerability it is possible to upload/execute a malicious Openfire plugin on the server and execute arbitrary Java code. This Metasploit module has been tested against Openfire 3.6.0a. It is possible to remove the uploaded plugin after execution, however this might turn the server in some kind of unstable state, making re-exploitation difficult. You might want to do this manually.

Red Hat Security Advisory 2012-0880-04 - Qt is a software toolkit that simplifies the task of writing and maintaining GUI applications for the X Window System. HarfBuzz is an OpenType text shaping engine. A buffer overflow flaw was found in the harfbuzz module in Qt. If a user loaded a specially-crafted font file with an application linked against Qt, it could cause the application to crash or, possibly, execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the user running the application. A flaw was found in the way Qt handled X.509 certificates with IP address wildcards. An attacker able to obtain a certificate with a Common Name containing an IP wildcard could possibly use this flaw to impersonate an SSL server to client applications that are using Qt. This update also introduces more strict handling for hostname wildcard certificates by disallowing the wildcard character to match more than one hostname component.

Adobe Flash Player AVM Verification Logic Array Indexing Code Execution
Posted Jun 20, 2012
Authored by mr_me | Site metasploit.com

This Metasploit module exploits a vulnerability in Adobe Flash Player versions 10.3.181.23 and earlier. This issue is caused by a failure in the ActionScript3 AVM2 verification logic. This results in unsafe JIT(Just-In-Time) code being executed. This is the same vulnerability that was used for attacks against Korean based organizations. Specifically, this issue occurs when indexing an array using an arbitrary value, memory can be referenced and later executed. Taking advantage of this issue does not rely on heap spraying as the vulnerability can also be used for information leakage. Currently this exploit works for IE6, IE7, IE8, Firefox 10.2 and likely several other browsers under multiple Windows platforms. This exploit bypasses ASLR/DEP and is very reliable.
