IPTraf is an ncurses-based IP LAN monitor which generates various network statistics including TCP info, UDP counts, ICMP and OSPF information, Ethernet load info, node stats, IP checksum errors, and more.

Changes: Better interface for packets which are not tcp or udp. Some bugs were fixed.

Darkstat is an ntop-workalike network statistics gatherer. Built to be faster and smaller than ntop, it uses libpcap to capture network traffic and serves up Web page reports of statistics such as data transferred by host, port, and protocol. It also has a neat bandwidth usage graph.

Changes: Big fixes, better handling of high Web traffic, faster report generation, sorting of port reports, and raw IP support for devices like DSL modems that use it.
