Overview

A flaw was found in AMQ Broker. This issue can cause a partial interruption to the availability of AMQ Broker via an Out of memory (OOM) condition. This flaw allows an attacker to partially disrupt availability to the broker through a sustained attack of maliciously crafted messages. The highest threat from this vulnerability is system availability.

Ubuntu Security Notice 6209-1 - Claudio Bozzato discovered that Gerbv incorrectly handled certain Gerber files. An attacker could possibly use this issue to crash Gerbv , or execute arbitrary code. This issue only affected Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. Claudio Bozzato discovered that Gerbv incorrectly handled certain Gerber files. It uses an asynchronous journal for fast message persistence, and supports multiple languages, protocols, and platforms. This release of Red Hat AMQ Broker 7.10.0 serves as a replacement for Red Hat AMQ Broker 7.9.4, and includes security and bug fixes, and enhancements. For further information, refer to the release notes linked to in the References section. Issues addressed include HTTP request smuggling and denial of service vulnerabilities.
