DESCRIPTION:
Multiple vulnerabilities have been discovered in TinyWebGallery,
which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site
scripting attacks.
1) Input passed to the "sview" parameter in admin/index.php is not
properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in an
administrator's browser session in context of an affected site.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may require that
"magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.
2) Input passed to the "tview", "dir", and "item" parameters in
admin/index.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to
the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script
code in an administrator's browser session in context of an affected
site.
Successful exploitation of the "item" parameter requires that the
"action" parameter is set to "chmod".
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.8.3. Other versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
