TITLE:
eZ Publish Cross-Site Scripting and SQL Injection Vulnerabilities
SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA39101
VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/39101/
DESCRIPTION:
Sebastian Apelt has reported some vulnerabilities in eZ Publish,
which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site
scripting and SQL injection attacks.
1) Input passed via the "SectionID" and "SearchTimestamp" parameters
to the search functionality is not properly sanitised before being
used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries
by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
2) Input passed via the "SearchContentClassAttributeID" parameter to
the advancedsearch functionality is not properly sanitised before
being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL
queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
3) Input passed via the "subTreeItem" parameters to the
advancedsearch functionality is not properly sanitised before being
returned to the user. This can be exploited to inject and execute
arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context
of an affected site.
