DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Asterisk, which can be exploited
by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error when negotiating T.38
over SIP and can be exploited to cause Asterisk to crash by sending a
specially crafted SDP packet containing a "FaxMaxDatagram" field with
a negative or overly-large value, or a SDP packet without a
"FaxMaxDatagram" field.

The vulnerability is reported in the following versions:
* Asterisk Open Source 1.6.x (all versions)
* Asterisk Business Edition C.3 (all versions)

SOLUTION:
Update to the fixed versions or apply the patches.

Asterisk Open Source 1.6.x:
Update to version 1.6.0.22, 1.6.1.14, or 1.6.2.2

Asterisk Business Edition C3:
Update to C.3.3.2.
