A vulnerability has been reported in certain HP Color LaserJet
Printers, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass
certain security restrictions and cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error and can be
exploited to gain unauthorised access to certain data or to cause a
DoS.
The vulnerability is reported in the following products and
versions:
* HP Color LaserJet M3530 Multifunction Printer with firmware
05.058.4 (earlier versions are reportedly not affected)
* HP Color LaserJet CP3525 Printer with firmware 53.021.2 (earlier
versions are reportedly not affected)
SOLUTION:
HP Color LaserJet M3530 Multifunction Printer:
Update to firmware version 53.031.4 or later.
HP Color LaserJet CP3525 Printer:
Update to firmware version 05.059.3 or later.
