DESCRIPTION:
Check Point has acknowledged some vulnerabilities in various Check
Point products, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a
DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerabilities are caused due to errors in the TCP
implementation when handling resources, which can be exploited to
exhaust kernel memory and cause a system panic.
The vulnerabilities affect VPN-1 Power/UTM, VPN-1 Pro/Express,
Connectra, and VPN-1 Power VSX.
SOLUTION:
Apply the hotfixes (please see the vendor advisory for details).
VPN-1 Power/UTM and VPN-1 Pro/Express:
Apply hotfix for R70.1, R65 HFA_50, R62 HFA_01, or R60 HF_A07.
Connectra:
Apply hotfix for R66.1, R62 HFA01, or R62CM HFA01.
VPN-1 Power VSX:
Apply hotfix for NGX R65.
