Asterisk RTP Text Frames Denial of Service Vulnerability

DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Asterisk, which can be exploited
by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error when processing RTP text
frames and can be exploited to cause a crash.

The vulnerability is reported in Asterisk Open Source 1.6.1.x
versions.

SOLUTION:
Apply vendor patch:
http://downloads.asterisk.org/pub/security/AST-2009-004-1.6.1.diff.txt

Update to version 1.6.1.2 when available.
