DESCRIPTION:
Red Hat has issued an update for the kernel. This fixes a
vulnerability, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a
DoS (Denial of Service) or to potentially compromise a vulnerable
system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an error within the PR-SCTP
(Partial Reliable Stream Control Transmission Protocol)
implementation when handling Forward-TSN chunks with large stream IDs
and can be exploited to crash a system or potentially execute
arbitrary code with kernel privileges.
Successful exploitation requires an established SCTP connection.
