http://secunia.com/product/19607/
DESCRIPTION:
A security issue has been reported in Swimage Encore, which can be
exploited by malicious, local users to disclose potentially sensitive
information.
The security issue is caused due to the Swimage server using a
hardcoded password to encrypt sensitive data contained within ".bin"
files. This can be exploited to disclose sensitive information on a
client machine e.g. by reading the content of ".bin" files from
system memory.
NOTE: Reportedly, ".bin" files placed on bootable media created by
Swimage are also encrypted with the default password and might lead
to the exposure of sensitive information.
The security issue is reported in versions prior to 5.0.1.21. Other
versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 5.0.1.21, which fixes the exposure of sensitive
information on client machines.
