DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Novell eDirectory, which can be
exploited by malicious people to disclose potentially sensitive
information or cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error within the
eMBox utility and can be exploited to cause a DoS or gain access to
certain local files.
The vulnerability affects the following versions on all platforms:
* Novell eDirectory 8.8 and prior
* Novell eDirectory 8.7.3.9 and prior
SOLUTION:
eDirectory 8.8.x:
Update to version 8.8.2.
eDirectory 8.7.3:
The vendor recommends unloading the eMBox module. Please see the
