DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Novell Identity Manager, which
can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of
Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to a format string error and can be
exploited to crash the Platform Service Process (asampsp) via
specially crafted packets containing format specifiers.

The vulnerability is reported in version 3.5.1. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Novell has issued a Field Test File for version 3.5.1:
