DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Sun SRS Proxy Core, which can be
exploited by malicious, local users to disclose sensitive
information.
The vulnerability is caused due to a design error in the "srsexec"
binary, which is installed setuid root and does not properly check
permission on target files. This can be exploited to disclose the
first line of arbitrary files by using the "-v" and "-d" command line
options.
The vulnerability is reported in the SUNWsrspx package included in
Solaris 10.
SOLUTION:
Sun has reportedly released a patch to address this vulnerability.
