DESCRIPTION:
thegreatone2176 has discovered some vulnerabilities in Website Baker,
which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site
scripting attacks and by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable
system.
1) Input passed to the "dir" parameter in "admin/media/browse.php"
isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can
be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in an
administrator's browser session in context of an affected site.
2) An input validation error in "admin/media/index.php" where the
file extension of uploaded media files is not properly verified, can
be exploited to upload e.g. a malicious PHP script inside the web
root.
Successful exploitation requires access to the "Media" section
(normally administrators).
It has also been reported that it is possible to disclose the full
path to certain scripts by accessing them directly.
The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 2.5.2. Other
versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised and
verified.
