By courtesy of CERT Coordination Center we received the following information.
CERT Coordination Center advisory CA-2000-02 contains extensive information
on the problem of malicious HTML tags and script code which could affect
both Web browsers and Web servers. The advisory explains in detail the
potential problems and dangers with dynamically generated HTML and common
scripting languages like Javascript and Java. The advisory offers guidelines
for end-users, web page developers and web site administrators (including
pointers to FAQ-pages, design tips and vendor patches) to minimise or
prevent the risks involved.
The full text of the regularly updated advisory is available at:
http://www.cert.org/advisories/CA-2000-02.html
CERT-NL recommends to carefully read the advisory and to follow the
recommendations in the advisory where appropriate.
