DESCRIPTION:
A weakness and some vulnerabilities have been reported in DotNetNuke,
which can be exploited by malicious users to disclose potentially
sensitive information and conduct script insertion attacks and by
malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks and bypass
certain security restrictions.

1) The application does not properly restrict access to restricted
folders. This can be exploited to disclose folder names of access
restricted folders within folder lists.

This weakness is reported in versions 5.5.0 through 5.6.7 and 6.0.0
through 6.2.0.

2) An error when loading a module of a page can be exploited to
directly load a module and override module permissions with page
permissions via a specially crafted URL.

3) Input passed via the "Key" parameter to
Admin/Lists/tabid/80/Default.aspx is not properly sanitised before
being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute
arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context
of an affected site.

Vulnerabilities #2 and #3 are reported in versions 5.x and 6.x
through 6.2.0.

4) Certain input passed via a link to an image within the Journal
module is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be
exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be
executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site
if malicious data is viewed.

Successful exploitation requires the Journal module to be installed
and user permissions to post the journals of other users.

This vulnerability is reported in version 6.2.0.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 5.6.8 or 6.2.1.
