DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in X.Org libXfont, which can be
exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the
"BufCompressedFill()" function (src/fontfile/decompress.c), which can
be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow via specially
crafted font files.
The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 1.4.4.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 1.4.4.
