DESCRIPTION:
High-Tech Bridge SA has discovered a vulnerability in e107, which can
be exploited by malicious users to conduct SQL injection attacks.
Input passed to the "user_field" parameter in
e107_admin/users_extended.php (when e.g. "add_category" is set) is
not properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation requires administrative permissions to
"Moderate users/bans etc." and that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 0.7.25. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
