DESCRIPTION:
Ubuntu has issued an update for aptdaemon. This fixes a security
issue, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain
security features.
The security issue is caused due to the application not properly
verifying the authenticity of packages when no simulation of
transactions is used, which can be exploited to install malicious
packages via Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attacks.
