DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in e107, which can be
exploited by malicious users to conduct SQL injection attacks.
1) Certain input passed via the URL to e107_admin/download.php is not
properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation requires "Post download" permissions.
2) Certain input passed via the URL to e107_admin/wmessage.php is not
properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation requires "Welcome message" permissions.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 0.7.23. Other versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Restrict access to trusted users only. Edit the source code to ensure
that input is properly sanitised.
