DESCRIPTION:
Fedora has issued an update for the kernel. This fixes some
vulnerabilities, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to
disclose potentially sensitive information and potentially gain
escalated privileges.
1) A race condition within the "find_keyring_by_name()" function in
security/keys/keyring.c can be exploited to access freed memory and
e.g. cause a system panic.
2) The "btrfs_ioctl_clone()" function in fs/btrfs/ioctl.c does not
properly check a user's read access to the source file before cloning
the file, which can be exploited to e.g. disclose sensitive
information.
SOLUTION:
Apply updated packages using the yum utility ("yum update kernel").
