DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in IBM Informix Dynamic
Server, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a
vulnerable system.
1) Multiple errors in the RPC library (librpc.dll) can be exploited
to cause buffer overflows via specially crafted RPC packets sent to
TCP port 36890.
2) A signedness error in the RPC library (librpc.dll) can be
exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via a specially
crafted RPC packet sent to to TCP port 36890.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerabilities allows execution of
arbitrary code.
The vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to IDS 10.00.TC9
and IDS 11.10.TC3.
SOLUTION:
Update to version IDS 10.00.TC10 or IDS 11.10.TC3 4.
