It is highly customizable and allows the use of any program that can draw on the root window as a display mode. It is also more stable than xlock.; Changes: xscreensaver-demo was redesigned, and it now includes small-preview and per-hack configuration dialogs. New modes of operation were added - One Screen Saver, Blank Screen, and Don't Blank (in addition to the historical "Random Screen Saver"). The following new GL hacks were added: "menger", "engine", and "flipscreen3d". New versions of "sierpinski3d", "xmatrix", "nerverot", "crystal", "gflux", "sonar", and "webcollage" were written.
