DESCRIPTION:
poplix has discovered a vulnerability in iodine's client, which can
be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the
"handshake()" function in the handling of handshakes from iodine
servers. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow
by tricking a user into connecting to a malicious iodine server.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 0.3.2. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Don't connect to untrusted iodine servers.
