Great, yet another "protect the ignorant" by slowing down Firefox! The ARE ways to pro-actively protect an OS, like turning off the HUNDREDS of services Windows runs in the background. Sheesh. Thanks Firefox for making my Internet access slower and slower with each new release...

kinda cool feature update with google services; i kinda see where they are going with the data leak but google has standardized https on web searches, which stops elementary mitm attacks, you can't strip the ssl becuase google seems to be forcing https; with mitm you could present the user with a new certificate but it would have to be signed to be unnoticeable... the biggest threat would be through xss (cross site script) which chrome / ie are known for allowing, so that is more of a browser weakness then a google one.
Any thoughts for / against / in addition to my own?

"But the cellular network isn't the Internet. "
They are both networks; they hold their similarities.

if you can't upgrade a system or patch something in your own businesses network, you are a victim of poor planning.

so stupid, it uses old exploits, OLD PUBLIC exploits.. and yet it thrives. I know these kinds of people too who don't upgrade when new patches are released, I am glad. Maybe one day people will pay attention to patches :/

If your still storing the numbers in your databases like effing retards, it will still be hacked. If you still carry your credit card around in your wallet, you can still be mugged. Do you see the solution here? If you remove money from the equation what's left?

It's getting harder to catch malware writers because they are normally well planned, even with an sdlc..

Old techniques still work, deny deny deny. You have to be stupid to do any kind of "illegal hacking" from your own home.
