This Metasploit module exploits a stack buffer overflow in iTunes 10.4.0.80 to 10.6.1.7. When opening an extended .m3u file containing an "#EXTINF:" tag description, iTunes will copy the content after "#EXTINF:" without appropriate checking from a heap buffer to a stack buffer and write beyond the stack buffers boundary. This allows arbitrary code execution. The Windows XP target has to have QuickTime 7.7.2 installed for this module to work. It uses a ROP chain from a non safeSEH enabled DLL to bypass DEP and safeSEH. The stack cookie check is bypassed by triggering a SEH exception.

This Metasploit module exploits a logic flaw due to how the lpApplicationName parameter is handled. When the lpApplicationName contains a space, the file name is ambiguous. Take this file path as example: C:\program files\hello.exe; The Windows API will try to interpret this as two possible paths: C:\program.exe, and C:\program files\hello.exe, and then execute all of them. To some software developers, this is an unexpected behavior, which becomes a security problem if an attacker is able to place a malicious executable in one of these unexpected paths, sometimes escalate privileges if run as SYSTEM. Some softwares such as OpenVPN 2.1.1, or OpenSSH Server 5, etc... all have the same problem.

This Metasploit module exploits a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in version 2.1 of CuteZIP. In order for the command to be executed, an attacker must convince the target user to open a specially crafted zip file with CuteZIP. By doing so, an attacker can execute arbitrary code as the target user.

This Metasploit module uploads an executable file to the victim system, creates a share containing that executable, creates a remote service on each target system using a UNC path to that file, and finally starts the service(s). The result is similar to psexec but with the added benefit of using the session's current authentication token instead of having to know a password or hash.

This Metasploit module exploits a stack buffer overflow in the create folder function in Sysax Multi Server 5.64. This issue was fixed in 5.66. You must have valid credentials to trigger the vulnerability. Your credentials must also have the create folder permission and the HTTP option has to be enabled. This Metasploit module will log into the server, get your a SID token and then proceed to exploit the server. Successful exploits result in LOCALSYSTEM access. This exploit works on XP SP3, and Server 2003 SP1-SP2.
