The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within NWFTPD.NLM when processing FTP commands. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via specially crafted arguments passed to the DELE command. Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerability is reported in NWFTPD.NLM versions prior to 5.10.02. SOLUTION: Update NWFTPD.NLM to version 5.10.02.
