The vulnerability is caused due to the application (e.g SAPGui.exe and BExAnalyzer.exe) loading libraries (e.g. MFC80LOC.DLL) in an insecure manner. This can be exploited to load arbitrary libraries by tricking a user into e.g. opening a SAP GUI shortcut file (".sap") located on a remote WebDAV or SMB share. Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerability is reported in versions 6.4 through 7.2. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Apply fixes (please see the vendor's advisory for details).
