Successful exploitation of this vulnerability allows execution of arbitrary code. 2) A format string error when processing POP3 commands can be exploited to corrupt memory via a specially crafted string passed to e.g. the RETR command. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability allows execution of arbitrary code, but requires valid user credentials. The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 3.2.3. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Restrict access to trusted hosts only. PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY: 1) G13 2) dmnt Additional details provided by Secunia Research.
