Input passed via the "id" parameter to Default.aspx and the "type" parameter to SearchResults.aspx is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site. The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.5.3.0 / 1.5.2.1. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Filter malicious characters or character sequences via a proxy.
