The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the "ConfigurationAccessComponent" ActiveX control (ConfigurationAccessComponent.dll) within the IConfigurationAccess interface when handling arguments passed to the "UnsubscribeData()" method and can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow. Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerability is reported in Wonderware Development Studio running Wonderware Application Server versions prior to 3.1 SP2 P01.
