Input passed via the "rubric" and "q" parameters to mod_search/index.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site. Successful exploitation requires that "mod_search" is enabled in the application. The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 4.1.1. Prior versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Update to version 4.1.2.
